  • In re: Tamara Reeder (2019 N.D.Calif BK #16-40949)   With the assistance of bankruptcy attorney James Shepherd, we persuaded the bankrupt court to allow contempt proceedings against creditor and his attorney to proceed when they sought to avoid the bankruptcy discharge and secure a judgment against the revocable trust created by the debtor. Counsel for the creditor paid $32,000 to the debtor and her trust in return for dismissal of the contempt claims. and creditor is prohibited from seeking any monetary relief against the debtor or her trust.
